The Italian premier, Giorgia Meloni, plans to auction an estimated 270 gifts given to her by foreign dignitaries while abroad. These items, collectively, are valued at around €800,000. They will be auctioned off via competitive bidding by a Italian art dealer. The specific date remains to be announced, although the intention is to hold the auction by year's end, with the revenue benefiting various charities.

The items are said to be kept in a secure area on the third floor of the prime minister's official office. Sources state that Meloni furthermore intending to auction off gifts given to her predecessors that have been sitting unused over a long period.
