British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Tragic Car Crash

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been released from care, Nigerian authorities announced on Wednesday evening. The athlete was part of a serious road collision in the Lagos area on December 29th, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

Joshua had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter confirmed on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and full of emotions over the loss of his two dear friends.”

This update on his health arrives after the global fight fans offered its support for the champion in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
