The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the company said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was taken subsequent to an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works altogether, encompassing a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
