The Porcine Pardon: Pig Named Six Seven Pardoned by Miami-Dade Leader.

Although not quite at the identical stature as sparing holiday birds, but the Miami-Dade County mayor had her own Donald Trump moment this week by ritually sparing the life of a pig named Six Seven.

Daniella Levine Cava performed the seasonal stunt at the Cuban-style Latin Cafe 2000 in the heart of Miami’s iconic Little Havana neighborhood.

“The swine has done no wrong. Clemency is justified for her. No offenses are on her docket,” stated the mayor in a speech with obvious nods to the vast quantity of executive clemencies issued from the start of the onset of a second term in office.

“If we disregard eating half a dozen apples per day,” she went on. “Let this swine have a lengthy and joyful existence away from worry.”

The gathering, either celebrating or rejecting the local cultural practice of feasting on pork during the holidays, was founded to replicate the traditional fowl clemency at the White House.

The swine, donated by a local firefighter, was named for the modern linguistic fad of young people yelling “six seven” – originating from a musical verse – often for no discernable reason. The phrase became so ubiquitous that a major dictionary recently declared “6-7” its annual vocabulary selection.

A Future Secured

The pardoned swine is now destined to live out its days at a farm sanctuary “distant from barbecues and spits”, according to the ceremony's official statement.

“The pig pardon has become a cherished method to kick off the festive period,” said the cafe owner, in a notably cheerful message.

“It embodies the character of Miami: joyful, diverse, and grounded in customs that bring people together. Every time, we are honored to observe heritage and mercy in a way only Miami can.”

Attendees enjoyed a plant-based fare of spinach croquetas and cafecito as they marked the pig's pardon.
